A man and woman will face court today after police allegedly seized over 250 cannabis plants at a hydroponic house in Riverwood yesterday.
About 9.40am yesterday officers from Campsie Proactive Crime Team attended a home on Belmore Road, following a tip-off from the community.
Police will allege the property, had been converted into a hydroponic house.
Following the arrest of a 47-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man, police executed a search warrant and allegedly seized 266 cannabis plants and 12.7kgs of loose cannabis, which have an estimated potential street value of over $1 million.
The pair was taken to Campsie Police Station and charged with enhanced indoor cultivation plant for commercial purpose, enhanced indoor cultivate cannabis for commercial purpose, found on/entering/leaving drug premises, and supply cannabis.
Both were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
