It was the film that made headlines last year after director Ridley Scott announced a reshoot to replace all scenes featuring disgraced Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey with new lead Christopher Plummer.
Now, another set of allegations has rocked All the Money in the World, a kidnapping drama based on the true story of oil magnate J. Paul Getty.
A new report from USA Today features claims from three anonymous sources "familiar with the situation" that actor Mark Wahlberg was paid $US1.5 million ($1.92 million) for his role in the reshoot. This directly contradicts earlier statements from Scott that "everyone did it for nothing".
In contrast, co-star Michelle Williams offered to participate in the reshoot for only nominal compensation.
"To hear that we were going to attempt to pull this off and...try and right a wrong, I was moved by it," she said at the Golden Globes.
"I even offered my salary because it was the right thing to do."
The USA Today report confirms this, stating that Williams was paid $80 per day, summing to less than $1000 across 12 days.
All the Money in the World surprised critics when it was nominated for three Golden Globes, despite Scott's rushed reshoot and editing process in a bid to maintain its original Christmas Day release.
Wahlberg, who plays a former CIA operative in the film, is notorious for his steep rates. A 2017 Forbes report named him the highest-paid actor in Hollywood.
Other celebrities and figures in the film industry have taken to social media to denounce the pay gap between him and Williams.
"[Williams] has been in the industry for 20 years. She deserves more than 1 per cent of her male co-star's salary," tweeted Zero Dark Thirty actress Jessica Chastain, who has been a prominent figure in fight for gender equality in Hollywood.
Feminist activist and writer Melissa Silverstein also supported Williams. "Williams was told they were all donating their time for the reshoots," she tweeted. "THIS IS AN EGREGIOUS GENDER PAY GAP."
