Bunnings Kirrawee will fire up its barbecue in support of the Loftus Volunteer Fire Brigade.
Residents are being encouraged to head down to Bunnings Kirrawee on Saturday, January 20 between 9am and 4pm to buy a snag or donate toward the fire brigade.
Bunnings will also run the emergency services volunteers barbecue at other stores on the same day including at Caringbah and Rockdale. Each warehouse will support its local volunteer fire brigade with the money raised.
NSW RFS commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons said it was great to see the community’s support.
"We can’t thank our members enough for their commitment to protecting the community.”
Bunnings Kirrawee complex manager John Pappas said it would make for a good day.
“The team is looking forward to manning the barbecue and doing their bit to help raise funds and awareness at such a critical time of year for NSW RFS.”
Bunnings Kirrawee Warehouse is located at 127-141 Bath Rd.
