Tom Glover and Alex Gersbach’s AFC under-23s Championship campaign is over after Australia were eliminated in the group stage.
Losses to Vietnam and South Korea saw Australia fail to progress from group D.
The squad, including Glover and Gersbach, are expected to make up the bulk of the Olyroos squad that will attempt to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Glover, 20, was an unused substitute for the three group matches while Gersbach, who has four senior caps for the Socceroos, missed the opening 3-1 win over Syria.
Gersbach played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 loss to Vietnam and 3-2 loss to South Korea.
Glover will return to Australia where he is on loan from English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. He will look to win back the No.1 shirt at Central Coast as the Mariners push for an A-League finals place.
Gersbach has been linked with a move to English Championship club Barnsley after becoming frustrated at a lack of playing time at Norwegian champions Rosenborg.
