Master classes from sprinter Matthew Glaetzer (SA) and Stephanie Morton (SA) in the keirin finals, plus dual gold to Amy Cure (TAS) and Kelland O’Brien (VIC) capped off the 2018 Cycling Australia Track National Championships at the Anna Meares Velodrome in Brisbane on Sunday afternoon.
St George and Sutherland Shire cyclists made up almost half the NSW team, with Kaarle McCulloch, Ashlee Ankudinoff and Tom Cornish all winning gold in their events.
Cornish also picked up a team gold with St George Cycling Club’s Zac Marshall and John Trovas in the under-19s team sprint, an indication of future good results.
