Expect a barrel of fun and entertainment as far as the eye can see at Gymea Bay Public School’s Lily Festival this year.
The event, which is well supported by business in the community, is the school’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
With 50 stalls of cakes, fairy floss, coffee and face painting, a talent show and an animal farm, expect a big turnout.
The school hopes to raise about $40,000.
Money raised goes directly back into the school for a variety of planned projects.
These include Lego robotics, water refill stations, a new electronic school sign, music and learning support teachers, a lunchtime sports program, ICT equipment for the learning hub, a shade cloth for the main playground, presentation day awards and a year 6 farewell.
The school will open the gates to the public from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, March 11.
