People suffering from eating disorders will have better access to phone support if they want to call someone for a chat.
The Butterfly Foundation national helpline (1800 ED HOPE) has expanded its hours of operation. Services are now available from 8am-midnight, seven days a week.
It comes as the helpline received a $1.7 million funding boost from the government.
The helpline delivers evidence-based support and professional eating disorder counselling services.
More than 50,000 Australians have received support since phone lines opened in 2012.
It is operated by qualified mental health clinicians who are trained in eating disorders.
It also offers web-based support through email.
