Georges River Council will hold a free green waste drop-off and mulching service this weekend.
Residents can drop off garden waste and turn tree branches into woodchips to take home.
The depot will accept branches, flowers, grass, plants, shrubs and trimmings.
Unaccepted items include commercial, demolition and building waste, fence palings and structural items, household garbage and tree stumps.
For mulching, accepted will be branches less than 35cm in diameter. Branches must be able to be handled by two people.
Unaccepted will be bamboo, cactus, fence palings, noxious weeds, palm fronts and trunks, thorny material or succulents.
This service is free to residents and can be used as many times as required.
The service will be available at the council’s Mortdale Depot, Roberts Avenue, Mortdate on Saturday, March 17 from 8am to 3pm.
