It was another disappointing night for Sharks fans as St George Illawarra stormed the shire on Thursday.
The Dragons ran out 20-16 winners in front of more than 13,000 fans at Southern Cross Group Stadium.
A dismal second half performance from Cronulla saw the Sharks go down to their bitter local rivals, leaving Cronulla with two losses from their opening two matches of the season.
The Sharks were electric in the first half, shooting out to a 14-0 lead on the back of an almost perfect opening half hour.
But their second half performance was equally as bad. Errors upon errors, the Sharks continually invited St George Illawarra back into the match on a blustery night in the shire.
The win saw the Dragons take home the Monty Porter Cup from the shire for the second season in a row. St George Illawarra have won their opening two games to sit top of the NRL table.
