Dramatic new footage has been obtained of the gangland shooting of former Comanchero boss Mick Hawi outside a Rockdale Fitness First gym on February 15.
A masked gunman can be seen running up to Hawi’s Mercedes-Benz four-wheel drive seconds after the former bikie boss gets into the vehicle.
The gunman points his pistol into the driver’s side window and fires off a volley of shots.
The gunman then races off through the car park of the West Botany Street gym to a waiting getaway car.
The car was later found set alight in nearby Chandler Street.
Police previously released CCTV footage that showed two men in black clothes running away from the car.
A spokesperson for NSW Police said detectives "are aware of the vision, and had previously obtained a copy, along with other footage taken in the area at the time."
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting of Mick Hawi are ongoing.
