Business support: Specsavers Miranda and Miranda East co-owner, Brendan Stone, pictured with Gail, the wife of the late Chris O'Brien, is thrilled his contribution will directly help cancer patients.
Specsavers Miranda and Miranda East joined forces with other NSW stores to raise $120,000 for Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
Funds were donated in the past five years as part of the Specsavers community program, where a portion of its profits are given to a charity.
Proceeds were used to perform surgeries on 30 patients using a state-of-the-art surgical robot.
The robot, which was the first of its kind to arrive in Australia, was bought by Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in December 2015, and costs $4000 for each head and neck operation.
