The administrators the Heathcote Services Club are seeking expressions of interest other local clubs for amalgamation.
Staff arrived on Thursday morning to find a sign on the door informing them the club had been closed until further notice.
BDO’s Andrew Sallway and James White were appointed as administrators of the Heathcote Services and Citizens Club (Club Heathcote) on March 1, 2018.
“The club continued to trade up to and including Wednesday, March 14 but regrettably has now closed,” BDO said in a statement issued late last week.
“The Administrators have confirmed that staff will be paid up to and including time worked until the closure.
“The first creditors meeting was held on March 13 but there were no attendees. An information session for members will now be held at the club on Tuesday, March 20 at 7pm.
“The Administrators are seeking expressions of interest from other local clubs for amalgamation.
“To date there has been strong interest from other clubs and discussions will continue.”
