The Cronulla Easter Show 2018 returns to Cronulla Plaza over the Easter long weekend with all the highlights that attracted more than 50,000 visitors last year.
Cronulla Plaza will be transformed into a fun-filled arena from March 30 to April 2, filled with high energy entertainers including stilt walkers, aerial acrobatics, jugglers, unicyclists, hula hoops, a mesmerising magician and much more.
There will be show bags, farm animals, face painting, pony rides, reptile show, the Shoalhaven Zoo Native Animal Display, sideshow alley and market stalls.
And if that's not enough, there will also be Peppa Pig and Elmo, Batman with his amazing Batmobile, Ride the Giant Slide or The Pirate Ship
Starting Good Friday and finishing Easter Monday, entry is free and each day will have a full program of events.
The Cronulla Easter Show is presented and hosted by BD Productions, Joylands and Absolute Showbags.
“We have been working day and night to pull together the best of the best in the entertainment world for the 2018 Cronulla Easter Show,” owner and managing director BD Productions, Leigh Achis said.
“To mix things up a little this year we have created a fun-filled arena for the Easter festivities with each day bringing something special to keep the kids entertained for hours.
“Some of Australia's best street performers, artists and entertainers have been hand selected to show off the talents across the four days.
“We are so happy to have to opportunity to host this event and ensure the community get to enjoy a free family event that involves everyone in the shire.
Performers will include:
Magician Manik Jones performing each day from Friday, March 30 to Monday, April 2 with a show of magic illusions, card tricks, stand up comedy, children's entertainment and much more.
The aerial Acrobatic Break Dancers will also appearing on Friday, March 30.
Beat The Streets will bring their high energy comedy and award-winning break dancing and tap dancing show will be performing on Saturday, March 31.
The group’s founder and director William “ILL WILL “ Sanchez moved from New York to Australia and in 2010 and created the first crew to ever combine breakdancing, tap dancing and comedy.
Beat The Streets members have performed with both Australian and International artists, Taylor Swift, Jason Derulo, Jessica Mauboy, Timomatic and Ricki Lee.
Roving performers will providing specialised artistry with stilt walking, juggling, hula hoop displays in Cronulla Plaza from March 30 to April 2.
The popular Reptile Show returns on Monday, April 2.
Local Reptile Handler, Andrew from Live Reptile Displays will be educating people on the importance of reptiles in our environment as well as show off some of Australia’s deadliest creatures.
Andrew will put on shows throughout the day from 11am to 3pm. He will offer hands on animal and reptile encounters.
Batman and the Batmobile will be appearing in Cronulla Plaza on Friday, March 30 from 1pm to 3pm.
Two years in the making, this is the world's first street-legal Batmobile. Modelled on the 1989 movie it is the only Batmobile in the world with full street registration.
The Shoalhaven Zoo is the largest zoo on the NSW South Coast and privately-owned. Owner Nick is bringing some of the zoo’s stars to the show including wombats, reptiles and Australian native animals on Sunday, April 1.
There will also be carnival rides and show bags available every day of the show.
Entertaining the kids for the four days won’t be difficult with the rides including the Giant Super Slide, Rocket Ride, Elephant Ride, Mini Ferris Wheel, jumping Castle, Bungee Trampoline and many more. New this year will be the Pirate Ship.
And there will be a Meet and Greet with Peppa Pig and Elmo daily, from March 30 to April 2 where the kids and come and have a photo taken with these popular characters.
