Only 3,500 tickets remain for Sydney FC’s first home match at Kogarah later this month.
The Sky Blues host A-League champions Melbourne Victory at Jubilee Oval on November 25 in their first game with the Kogarah ground as their major temporary home.
Sydney FC will play seven games at Jubilee Oval this season. The Sky Blues announced in April they had committed to playing games at Kogarah while Allianz Stadium underwent renovations.
They will also play four home matches at the Sydney Cricket Ground and two at Leichhardt Oval.
Sydney FC already sit top of the A-League table after three rounds and the club are preparing for the possibility of a sell out for the ‘Big Blue’ against Victory.
Less than 300 reserved seats remain, with the club offering their Jubilee Stadium reserved seat members the chance to return their seats through the club’s online member portal if they know they are unable to attend the game.
It is the first time the club have ever done it and allows them to make more tickets available.
If someone purchases the member’s seat, the member gets 50 per cent of the sale price as a credit to their 2019-20 membership. The other 50 per cent goes to the Sydney FC Foundation.
It is not a set price as the seat could be purchased by an adult, junior or family.
The scheme means that with the severe shortage of reserved seats, less than 1,000 in all categories after member’s assigned seats, casual fans have a chance to get a seat for the game.
Members will be told of the scheme via email on Wednesday morning.
The A-League match kicks off at 5pm with the game to be played as a double header alongside Sydney FC’s W-League clash, also against Victory, at 2.30pm.
Sydney FC showed they are still the club to beat after a comprehensive 3-0 win over Melbourne City at AAMI Park on Friday night thanks to two goals from new signing Adam Le Fondre and Paulo Retre’s sublime finish.
