A Caitlin Foord hat-trick has helped Sydney FC get back to winning ways as the Sky Blues thrashed Brisbane 5-1 at Seymour Shaw Park on Sunday.
Sydney FC returned to the shire for the first and only time this season and got their season back on track with a comprehensive victory.
Having lost three matches in a row heading into the clash, Sydney FC needed a quick start and got it through Matildas striker Foord who had the hosts in front after just 15 minutes with a cute finish.
Yuki Nagasato had Brisbane level 10 minutes later before St George junior Teresa Polias put Sydney back in front with a stunning strike on the hour mark.
Foord and Princess Ibini scored within three minutes of each other midway through the half to seal the result before Foord completed her treble seven minutes from full-time.
The Sky Blues return to Kogarah when they host Newcastle on January 4.
