About Our Client

Multi-National FMCG Company who are located in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Job Description

• Manage portfolio of $92m annual spend
• Develop category strategies in conjunction with stakeholders and business SME's
• Analyse spend, conduct stakeholder meetings to determine the procurement strategy, select suppliers
• Negotiate contractual terms and conditions for services;
• Lead supplier performance through analysis, development, planning and implementation of the strategy;
• Liaise extensively within and outside the business to effectively manage relationships, identify business improvement opportunities, innovation and cost saving opportunities;
• Ensure risk is mitigated and an optimum cost effective approach is achieved;
• Serve as the escalation point for Supplier management issues including performance, quality, and commercial issues;
• Partner with specified Business Partners and Stakeholders to establish and track savings;
• Support all Stakeholders to identify short and long term supplier strategies;
• Ensure timely delivery of required goods and/or services through follow-up and communications among suppliers, fulfilment and/or logistics, and the end users;
• Conduct business process improvement projects as required by the business/ project plan;
• Display curiosity in your daily duties and a tenacious streak to obtain the goals of the department and business;
• Extensive collaboration with Global Procurement is an essential element of this role to influence decision making and identification of cost saving and innovation opportunities;

The Successful Applicant

• >5 years' experience in an FMCG environment with a strong exposure to plastic packaging categories
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
