Full job description
  • Full time hours with immediate start
  • Gain a nationally recognised qualification
  • Set yourself up for a rewarding career

Do you enjoy using computers and have an interest in design and drafting for the building and construction industry but don’t know where to start? This is a perfect opportunity for you! This Australian Apprenticeship program is a perfect first step in the right direction for your career.  We here at TABMA value career progression and development and believe having a qualification behind you is valuable to your career – so why not get qualified while you work!

Through the program you’ll see yourself working for a local frame and truss manufacturer in Morningside, QLD, with a close knit team – so you’ll have lots of mentoring and guidance along the way to set yourself up for a successful career in the long-term.

Well, now for the most important part: what’s in it for you?

  • You’ll work with a reputable company who also shares our values (and yours) in career progression and development, so you’ll never feel left behind
  • Start off with our Certificate III Apprenticeship Program and work your way into a Certificate IV or even a Diploma afterwards!
  • You’ll have job stability through full-time work, knowing you work in a sustainable, thriving industry.
  • Getting qualified while you work – put your skills in to practice as you learn them and finish the Apprenticeship Program with a nationally recognised qualification AND valuable industry experience.

While most jobs require you to have years of experience behind you, the great thing about this opportunity is that no experience is required! Great if you’re fresh out of school, looking to upskill or wanting to move into a new industry. All we ask of you is to be committed, reliable and have a willingness to learn (as well as having completed at least year 10 at school and have full working rights in Australia). The rest you’ll learn along the way!

On the job you’ll learn all about the CAD programs, building codes and standards, estimate costs and quotes for projects, prepare and interpret sketches, and much more!

Well, what are you waiting for? Apply now with a simple resume and cover letter letting us know why you’ve applied – and we’ll do the rest by contacting shortlisted candidates.
