Ensures that all stakeholders adhere to the strategic management approach and timetables. Collate information and create reports and insights to support strategy management processes. Develops and communicates plans to drive forward the strategy.
Take responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution. Identify, evaluate and recommend options, implementing if required. Collaborate with, and facilitate stakeholder groups, as part of formal or informal consultancy agreements.
Implement demand management analysis and planning activities. Provide advice to help stakeholders adopt and adhere to the agreed demand management approach. Perform what-if analyses and scenario planning; develop insights and proposals to improve business value. Manage the process of integrating demand management with complementary strategic, operational and change management processes. Review new business proposals; provide advice on demand issues and routes requests to the right place. Work with business representatives to agree and implement short-term and medium-term modifications to demand. Maintain a register of business requests, including the status of each request, reporting as required.
Monitor the external environment to gather intelligence on emerging technologies. Assess and document the impacts, threats and opportunities to the organisation. Create reports and technology roadmaps and share knowledge and insights with others.
Create the business readiness plan, taking into consideration IT deployment, data migration, capability deployment (training and engagement activities) and any business activities required to integrate new digital processes or jobs into the "business as usual" environment. Determine the readiness levels of business users with regard to upcoming changes; uncover readiness gaps, create and implement action plans to close the gaps prior to going live. Assist the user community in the provision of transition support and change planning and liaise with the project team. Monitor and report progress on business readiness targets, business engagement activity, training design and deployment activities, key operational metrics and return to productivity measures. Define the series and sequence of activities to bring stakeholders to the required level of commitment, prior to going live.
Determine the approaches to be used to analyse, clarify and communicate the user experience, users' characteristics and tasks, and the technical, social, organisational and physical environment in which systems, products or services will operate. Plan and drive user experience and accessibility analysis activities providing expert advice and guidance to support adoption of agreed approaches.
Ensure that service delivery meets agreed service levels. Create and maintain a catalogue of available services. In consultation with the customer, negotiate service level requirements and agree on service levels. Diagnose service delivery problems and initiate actions to maintain or improve levels of service. Establish and maintain operational methods, procedures and facilities in assigned area of responsibility and review them regularly for effectiveness and efficiency.
Manage individuals and groups. Allocate responsibilities and/or packages of work, including supervisory responsibilities. Delegate responsibilities as appropriate. Set performance targets, and monitor progress against agreed quality and performance criteria. Provide effective feedback, throughout the performance management cycle, to ensure optimum performance. Proactively work to ensure effective working relationships within the team and with those whom the team interacts with.
