Our client is a multi-branded Australian food processing, marketing and farming business specialising in fresh salads, ready-made meals, snacks, food to go and pre-prepared vegetables. They are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join their team on a permanent full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation, verification and validation process of the HACCP plan

• Reviewing and monitoring of all documentation are complying to the regulatory bodies such as BRC, SQF, Woolworths and Coles standards, SMETA, and other necessary requirements.
• Participate in the maintenance of current, approved specifications for all raw materials/inputs and finished products
• Participate in the implementation, analyses and reporting of verification activities
• Training of staff to work within Standard Operating Procedures and practices
• Participation in external audits and customer feedback including analyses and reporting

Essential skills and requirements

• Tertiary Science degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Microbiology, Food Science) and / or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a food quality role is desirable
• Work experience in High care / high risk chilled food and similar dynamic food processing environments highly desirable
• Proficient computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook)
• Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
• Solid work ethic with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and unsupervised
