Rehabilitation Counsellor - OT, RC, Psych

Our client, a long standing leading provider of wellness, insurance and risk solutions is seeking a qualified experienced Rehabilitation Consultant with a background in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work or Rehabilitation Counselling to join their supportive and award-winning Allied Health Team in Melbourne.

Your new role
You will be responsible for managing a mixed case load of NDIS Assessments and Workers Comp, working with injured workers and other stakeholders driving successful return to work outcomes. You will need to be able to develop and then communicate your return to work strategy with management and various stakeholders to ensure you meet service delivery standards. Your role will also entails:

• Providing Return to Work and Rehabilitation Services compliant with Victoria frameworks.
• Undertaking psychological/biopsychosocial assessments.
• Undertaking other psychologically based capacity building services across a client’s life span to address. issues which may affect the function, independence and social inclusion of individuals with disability, their families and carers.
• Working with and alongside a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best quality of life outcome for your client.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be required to hit the ground running and only experience within occupational rehabilitation will be considered:

• Formal qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or Rehabilitation Counselling.
• Full Registration with AHPRA, AASW, or ASORC.
• Experienced in delivering Occ. Rehab. Services.
• Expertise in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of biopsychosocial problems including core competencies in mental health assessment and management using evidence-based interventions.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in workplace rehabilitation.
• Ability to work independently and conduct outreach to some Regional Areas.
