CRONULLA Sharks player Michael Morris visited Sutherland library last week as part of National Simultaneous Storytime.
Michael read aloud to Sutherland Public School pupils including (clockwise from left) Amy Harris, Samantha Greenwood, James Mackenzie, Kimberley Hau and Finn Taylor.
The annual campaign — part of Library and Information Week — encourages more young Australians to read and enjoy books.
Each year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, preschools, childcare centres, family homes and bookshops around the country.
The book chosen for this year's event was Too Many Elephants in This House, written by Ursula Dubosarsky and illustrated by Andrew Joyner.
