MONTY Porter and Peter Moore were men who did plenty for their respective rugby league clubs and communities.
The late Monty Porter played for the Dragons and the Sharks and held important off-field roles, including Cronulla president.
The late Peter Moore was one of the league's most astute administrators and Canterbury Bulldogs chief executive.
Both foundations are combining to raise funding for sporting youth with a golf day.
The inaugural golf challenge will be at 7.30am on Friday, November 14, at Beverley Park Golf Club. Entry is $260 for a two-member team or $85 for lunch only.
Former Cronulla fullback Jonathan Docking and former Bulldogs five-eighth Terry Lamb are playing and leading teams.
Monty Porter Memorial Sports Foundation director Brad Humphries, of Gymea, said it was good to see both foundations come together to raise funding.
"Both Monty Porter and Peter Moore did an amazing amount of work supporting charities, sport and community groups," Humphries said.
He said there were hole sponsorships for local businesses to support.
Former NSW Sheffield Shield batsman Steve Small, of Caringbah, is a director of the Peter Moore Memorial Sports Foundation.
