Tynan Motors is celebrating 50 years in business.

Michael Tynan, who died on February 1, opened the first outlet in an old Total service station at 642 Princes Highway, Sutherland, on St Patrick’s Day in 1966, 

The company’s head office is still located on that site.

Tynan Motors has 330 staff, nine locations and 15 different franchises.

The Tynan Family said they “would like to thank both our customers and our community for their loyal support through the past 50 years and look forward to sharing with you the growth of our family  and business well into the future.”

A number of events are planned during the year to mark the 50 years milestone.
