Members of a library in the Bayside Council area now have free access to over 500 online learning courses.
To date, over 330 library members have signed up for courses ranging from accounting to vocabulary building.
The Bayside Council looks after Arncliffe Library, Bexley Library, Bexley North Library, Brighton-Le-Sands Library, Rockdale Library, and Sans Souci Library.
Members can enrol in up to five courses at a time, and most courses take around 10 to 20 hours to complete.
Courses are flexible. You can start any time you like, access your course 24-hours per day via the internet, do your assignments when it suits you, and you have six months to complete each course.
Each course has a real instructor who can communicate with you via email.
Although the courses are non-accredited, upon completing a course a member receives a certificate.
“Bayside Council is always looking at ways to help our community. With over 500 online courses available, there’s something to suit everyone and I encourage everyone to take a look at the courses on offer,” Bayside Council administrator Greg Wright said.
Joining Bayside Council libraries is free. Please bring ID with you when joining. More information at http://library.bayside.nsw.gov.au.
