Gymea Technology High School has opened a brand new technology centre which boasts new computers, robotics and 3D printers.

The technology centre has taken the place of four computer classrooms at the school, which were separated by a corridor.

The area has now been completely renovated and is much easier for students to move between the up-graded rooms.

The centre also gives students access to some new learning tools such as brand new Apple computers, robotics and 3D printers.

The new centre was opened to staff and students last month, with the official opening held earlier this month by Miranda MP Eleni Petinos.

School principal Peter Marsh said: “The centre has been a school community driven project and has been designed and developed in a way that enables teachers across the school to engage students in learning through technology in creative and collaborative ways to enhance their learning experiences.”
