A legless traveller was found lurking on a South Coast Line commuter rain as it approached Wollongong on Tuesday night.
It’s unclear if the slippery customer tapped on (or off) using an Opal card or whether it was travelling on a “consssssssession” fare.
Passengers on board the 6.54pm Kiama to Central Service spotted the Children’s python and reported it to staff.
“Customers were moved from the carriage, which was then locked off, and arrangements were made for a snake handler to meet the train on arrival at Central Station,” a NSW Trainlink spokesman said.
“The train arrived at Central at 9.02pm and the snake was located on a luggage rack of the carriage.”
After a couple of photos, the python was taken away by a snake handler who’s now looking after it, the spokesman said.
Children’s pythons, which are a popular pet, are non-venomous.
