Sharks prop Matt Prior has accepted a one-match suspension for a shoulder charge on Joel Thompson in Cronulla’s derby win over St George Illawarra on Friday night.
Prior was charged by the NRL match review committee with a grade one shoulder charge for the incident in the 20th minute. He entered an early guilty plea with the charge leaving Prior with 50 carry over points.
The 29-year-old, who has been one of Cronulla’s best so far this season, will miss the Sharks’ round 11 clash with North Queensland at Southern Cross Group Stadium on Thursday night.
Prior will return for the home match against Canterbury on May 27.
