QUEEN is amongst the greatest rock bands of the twentieth century and Freddie Mercury is hailed by many as the most charismatic and flamboyant performer in contemporary rock.
Perhaps their biggest performance event was their 1986 Concert at Wembley Stadium which was Queen’s last ever tour. INXS and Status Quo were the supporting acts.
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody, has been working hard on their new show reproducing the monumental Queen at Wembley Stadium 1986 concert which the audience can now relive.
They are performing at the Sutherland Entertainment Centre on Friday 14 July, 8pm show.
This show features Thomas Crane who looks and sounds like Freddie, with his band Bohemian Rhapsody bringing back to life the visual excitement, sound and stage energy as witnessed at Wembley 1986.
This live concert production is touring Australia in 2017.
Anyone who knows anything about Queen is well aware that a huge part of the Queen live experience was their stage presence, their flamboyance, theatrics and energy.
This Queen performance aims to capture the posturing, preening, and the strutting and showmanship of Freddie Mercury.
Bohemian Rhapsody stands alone to showcase the music of the greatest rock band of all times.
Thomas said the show includes the trademark cheeky banter and singing contests between Freddie and his audience.
“The inspiration that moved me to put this show together was when one couple during the last tour came up to me to say ‘we saw Queen at Wembley Stadium in 1986 and we enjoyed your show just as much,” he said.
“It makes it all worthwhile when fans comment on Facebook and email on how our show is like seeing and hearing the real Queen.”
During the concert the audience will hear all the great hits like We Will Rock You, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Are The Champions, Radio Ga Ga, A Kind of Magic, I Want To Break Free, Another One Bites the Dust, Bohemian Rhapsody and the songs played by Queen at the Wembley Concert.
Bohemian Rhapsody has played to packed houses and their popularity is such that their fan base is strong throughout Australia and overseas.
The band has had recent offers to tour the US in October next year.
Bohemian Rhapsody will be reliving Queen’s Wembley Stadium concert at Sutherland Entertainment Centre on Friday, July 14 at 8pm.
