UberEATS, the on-demand food delivery service launches in Sutherland Shire tomorrow.
The service is launching in the restaurant hubs of Cronulla, Miranda and Caringbah will be available through the app from the App Store or Google Play.
Shire residents can download the UberEATS app to get food from local restaurants delivered quickly from Cronulla to Kirrawee, Sylvania to Lilli Pilli to wherever they happen to be - in the park, the office or home - from 7am to 3am, seven days a week.
More than 40 shire restaurants have come onboard UberEATS including Cronulla Eat Burger Co, Beach Burrito, Crust, San Churro Miranda, Nutrition Station Cronulla, Coco Hut Indian Cafe and Restaurant and Zeus Street Greek.
Eat Burger Cronulla owner and chef Paul Camilleri said the arrival of UberEATS is a game-changer for the shire’s restaurants and cafes.
“I’ve been waiting for a long time for it to arrive,”Paul said.
“The Uber brand is exciting for the area, mainly because all the new apartments are phenomenal for a business.
“All the other delivery companies are good but I think UberEATS will take it to the next level in how far they go out in their delivery coverage and in the efficiency of delivery.
“The App shows precisely where they have been, you know you can contact the driver, see where they are, and you know it is professional and that the cars are clean.
“We have been in Cronulla two years and we do our own deliveries and we still will but this will just spread the load for my staff and open up our business to new customers.”
