Connells Point Public School has thrown a colourful parade to open its new playground and school garden.
The playground and sustainable garden were opened at the school this week.
The opening ceremony was combined with a delayed Book Week parade, where pupils dressed up as their favourite characters from books and comics.
Connells Point Public School assistant principal Jacky Grant said the new facilities looked great.
“The school installed the new facilities to increase healthy behaviours and improve the physical educational and mental wellbeing of children and young people.”
She said the garden also included a chicken coop.
