A man will appear in court today after a girl was allegedly indecently assaulted on a train travelling between Sutherland and Miranda on Sunday.
About 11am the girl, 14, and two friends were travelling on a train when a man sat behind the group and allegedly touched the girl.
The girl and her friends moved away before getting off at Miranda and informed train staff who notified police.
Miranda police arrived at the scene and arrested a man, 50, nearby.
He was taken to Sutherland Police Station and charged with indecent assault and common assault.
He was refused bail to appear in Sutherland Local Court on Monday.
