Channel 10 personality Grant Denyer is joining Em Rusciano's 2DAY FM breakfast show.
The appointment means the comedian will have not one, but two new co-hosts in the new year. Last month it was revealed Ed Kavalee was replacing Harley Breen after he announced on-air he was quitting breakfast radio.
Denyer currently hosts Ten's Family Feud and was this year nominated for a Gold Logie. In March the father of two broke his coccyx in a near-fatal car crash.
In a statement, Denyer said he was thrilled to be joining 2DAY FM's 2018 lineup.
"I'm told breakfast radio is even more dangerous than race car driving and I fractured my bum and almost died doing that this year... so, what could go wrong?"
The former journalist then poked fun at his height, saying: "I won't need the booster seat Ed because it's in my contract I get to sit on your knee."
The Hit Network's head of content Gemma Fordham described Denyer has one of Australia's most energetic personalities.
"[He] was a dynamo on breakfast TV and reshaped the landscape," she said. "When it comes to entertaining Aussies, his instincts are spot on. I know he is the perfect addition to brighten up Sydney's morning alongside Em and Ed."
Rusciano described Denyer as a "blond bombshell" and "glamorous bogan".
2DAY FM's breakfast shows have been short-lived ever since Kyle and Jackie O jumped ship to rival station KIIS FM, taking a large chunk of listeners with them. However, Rusciano's program managed to survive for a second year despite pulling just 3.3 per cent of Sydney breakfast radio listeners in the most recent survey.
