The annual Cronulla Triathlon Club Christmas run has been held every year through local streets and waterways since 1985 and is led by the Cronulla Triathlon Club run captain.
Cronulla Tri Club is one of Australia's oldest and most famous triathlon clubs, and one of the most successful. Cronulla is home to three Australian males and one female who have won the prestigious Hawaiian Ironman World Championship.
This year run captain Gray Drever led the Christmas run dressed as Jesus and took club members through a Gunnamatta Bay leap and swim and a run up through the Cronulla Mall to spread the Christmas spirit and visit club sponsors Grind Cafe and Southside Runners.
The annual Christmas run also encompassed a swim off the world famous surfing spot Cronulla Point and the Tonkin Road Ferry Wharf with club captain Glenn Gorick holding a minute’s silence ceremony for members who have passed away.
