Sisters Lily, Jasmine and Abby Beck have started their training early ahead of the 2018 Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon.
The sisters from Yarrawarrah are all taking part in the big event at Sydney Olympic Park on Sunday, February 4.
This year marks the 20th year of the Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon, which started back in 1999 and moves around the country each year.
The triathlon event is non-competitive and all about getting children aged 7 to 15 to stay active and have fun.
Younger children (aged 7 to 10) complete a 75m swim, 3km cycle and 500m run while older children (aged 11 to 15) do a 150m swim, 6km cycle and 1km run.
Last year, almost 13,000 Australian children took part in the events.
The three Beck sisters joined in on a training day at Sydney Olympic Park late last year alongside event ambassador Steve Willis – who is best known as a trainer on Australian television show The Biggest Loser.
The girls have since been putting what they learned into practice ahead of the event.
Willis said it was going to be a lot of fun and help kids stay healthy.
“It’s vital that healthy habits are instilled in every person from the time they are young,” he said.
“Positive physical and mental development through activity directly correlates to our sense of self-esteem, how we deal with stress, and how we interact with others.”
