Family: Helena Lillian Boyd with her niece Phyllis, 76, great niece Kathie, 52, great-great niece Jasmin, 27, and two great-great-great nieces, Emmy, 2, and Willow, 7 months.
Helena Lillian Boyd turns 102 tomorrow, February 3, 2018, and by her side will be four generations of nieces, her son and daughter, two grand-sons and two great grandchildren.
Best known as ‘Aunty Lil’, the Peakhurst resident who still lives in her own house, enjoys knitting rugs and bed socks for nursing homes.
In the past she worked at St George Hospital, ran a mixed business with a friend, worked for a school P&C and learnt skills in millinery.
She also used to breed Pugs and trained them for dog shows.
Ms Boyd has outlived her husband, whom she met at a hairdressing salon, her daughter, two sisters and three brothers.
