St George secured their third win in a row to keep up the pace in their hunt for a semi-finals place after downing Northern District.
Saints captain Trent Copeland sent the hosts in at Mark Taylor Oval on Saturday, with the late 2pm start not doing St George any harm as three wickets each to Ollie Robinson and Peter Francis helped them bowl NDs out for 248.
Saints were always in control of the run chase with Moises Henriques (76) and Nick Stapleton (73) putting on 94 for the first wicket.
Luke Bartier (60) then joined Stapleton with the pair sharing a 108-run stand.
St George cruised to a four wicket win to remain in 11th place but there is now a significant logjam on the table as teams fight for a finals position. Saints (37) are only two points behind seventh-placed Bankstown, with Manly (44) holding on to sixth with three rounds left.
