UPDATE
A generous and loving mother and grandmother from Rockdale is now Set for Life after checking her ticket and discovering she had won the 1st Prize, of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.
The grandmother won the 911 draw on Friday, February 2 and while the entry was registered to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card attempts to contact the registered ticketholder were unsuccessful as her contact details weren’t up to date.
On hearing confirmation of her prize the winning woman declared her heart had only just stopped racing.
“Oh – this is so exciting – my heart has been racing!” she said.
“I’m just flabbergasted at this news. I’ve got the next 20 years to think about what I can do every month.
“I’ll be about to help my family and this will set me up for the future. It’s such an exciting prize.”
The winning entry was purchased at Rockdale Plaza Newsagency.
Tom Mackovski, owner of the newsagency, said he was thrilled to have sold another winning entry.
“It is just fantastic news! I am so pleased that we’ve found the winner!” he exclaimed.
“We are so happy to have sold another winning entry as the last big win we sold was in December 2015.
“We are especially pleased a local has won as we’ve had plenty of customers coming in asking if the winner was from the area.
“They’ve also been checking their tickets to see if it is them and buying new entries into Set for Life since we put our posters up.
“We wish the winner all the best with their prize!”
