Chocoholics and Romeos alike will wander through the doors of Essenze Chocolates with one thing on their mind – chocolate with a touch of love.
Valentine’s Day, February 14, is their second busiest day of trade of the year (after Christmas).
Lovers abound are expected to surprise their significant others with sweet-toothed delights, hand-made at the Caringbah shop.
Headed by chocolatiers Vincenzo Morgia and Maria Vitelli, Essenze Chocolates will be choc-o-block with customers on the annual day of romance.
“Valentine’s Day is a one day bang of trade,” Ms Vitelli said.
“The morning is full of women and the late afternoon is full of men panicking.
“We find people leave things until the last minute but when they come in they get the biggest box ever – it’s hysterical.”
She says among the popular requests are personalised messages and the occasional hidden diamond ring.
“The new generation of men are becoming more organised,” she said.
“Sometimes you get guys who like to buy something to be delivered every hour to their partner throughout the whole day. They go way beyond!”
