Oatley Park and Lime Kiln Bay be the focus for Georges River Council’s Clean Up Australia Day operations on Sunday, March 4.
Residents are encouraged to help keep the Georges River area beautiful by registering online via the Clean Up Australia Day website, www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au.
The clean-up crew for Oatley Park Reserve will meet at the Oatley Park Castle on Douglas Haig Street, Oatley, and the Lime Kiln Bay Bushland Sanctuary site group will meet at the reserve opposite 23 Waterfall Road, Oatley. Both groups will meet at 8.30am, with the sessions finishing at 11.30am.
Alternatively, members of the community can join another registered site or identify their own clean-up site and register it online via the Clean Up Australia Day website.
Support of Clean Up Australia Day activities complement other recent and upcoming council initiatives to make the Georges River an attractive and vibrant place to live.
These include the Big Wash which was held in November and December, the Kogarah Clean which commenced in February, and Makeover Month which starts in March.
