Bangor artist Helen Dubrovich will be holding a new solo art exhibition next month titled My Watercolour World.
The exhibition is based on her travels over the years often ‘‘on a shoestring budget’’.
‘‘My passions in life are painting and travel so these became the obvious theme when I was searching what subjects to paint,’’ Mrs Dubrovich said
‘‘Working as a photographer years ago at TAFE I used my skills to take interesting pictures which I have used in composites to complete my watercolour paintings.’’
Mrs Dubrovich, born in Germany of Russian parents, came to Australia when she was three. When older Helen started to travel overseas and this influenced her work which is quite eclectic.
Her new solo exhibition opens on Saturday, March 10 at 1pm and runs until March 24 at ArtSHINE Gallery in Yuga Cafe, 172 St Johns Road, Glebe.
Mrs Dubrovich has donated one of her paintings – The Little Busker – to be auctioned for the McGrath Foundation.
