Sutherland Shire-based construction company Savelle has spread its wings with its latest project and is challenging the Sydney Airport car park monopoly.
The company has built Sydney’s newest off-airport car park, the 800-plus space Park on King at 338 King Street, Mascot which is offering travellers parking for as low as $4 per day.
Park on King is operated by the Savelle Group and is led by Steve Savelle. The company started 20 years ago and has built apartment blocks, industrial parks and office towers.
It has now expanded its focus to car parks and hotels and believes there is a market to capture for travellers who want an alternative to parking at Sydney airport.
Described as Sydney’s largest off-airport car park, Park on King will allow travellers to pay $4 a day during their grand opening on March 20 until the end of April.
The company plans to eventually double the car park capacity to 1600 spaces.
“We are offering the best-priced airport in Sydney,” Steve Savelle said. “It is something that travellers have desired for a long time, especially when other Sydney airport car parks continue to increase their already expensive prices.”
“Travellers will be be able to park with us for just $4 per day during our March-April grand opening promotion, a saving of approximately 93 per cent if they were to park directly at the airport.’’ Following this, parking will increase to $8 a day.
Park on King also has licence plate recognition software to complement the online booking system.
“When you book online you put in your number-plate and when you drive into the car park it picks up that you have paid and lets you in. No other airport car park has it,” Steve said.
There will be free on-demand airport pick-up and drop-offs, VIP parking hand car wash, 24-hour security, electric vehicle charge, car servicing, parking areas near lifts designated for families with young children and for seniors, and a loyalty program for frequent travellers.
