Seniors moment
In my march towards senility, I took a further step last week when I used the ATM at St George Bank, Miranda Fair.
I retrieved my card and didn’t wait around for the money to come. I returned later but it had gone.
Next day, I had a call from the bank to say that the money had been handed in and was safely back in my account.
I know there are still plenty of honest people in the world but I know too there are many who are hard up and would find the temptation too great.
We do live in a great country and I want to thank my unknown friend for being one of those who make it so.

Angel on earth
On February 27 my husband had severe abdominal pain and had to pull over into a Sans Souci car park near the children’s playground as he came from under the airport tunnel.
His pain was so severe he had to get out of his work truck and sit on the car park floor.
Luckily for him an unknown female, his angel on earth, came to his aid and called an ambulance for him, she waited with him until it arrived.
We have no idea who this kind lady is but we hope that if our grateful thanks is printed she may receive it.
My husband is well and was out of the hospital the next day.

Oatley: a great place
Recently my daughter organised a fundraiser for the Bexley North Cancerians for Cancer research.
I would like to thank the many people who donated gifts for the raffle.
In particular Gordon from IGA Oatley who gave a very generous donation. Also O’Connor’s Pharmacy.
Thank you to the people of Oatley - what a great place to live.
