Our Lady of Mercy College (OLMC) has been recognised for its impressive interior design, making it a finalist in the Dulux Colour Awards 2018.
The girls’ school at Burraneer was shortlisted in the category of commercial interior: public and hospitality.
The awards celebrate the exceptional use of colour by Australian and New Zealand designers in commercial and residential spaces.
It received 305 entries this year, and OLMC was one of 20 finalists in its category.
Fulton Trotter Architects were the designers behind the Sutherland Shire school.
The school’s old building was demolished to make way for a new two-storey learning centre used for science, construction, cooking, textiles and design, English and languages.
It connects to an amphitheatre with pool and water views.
Classrooms were painted in colours to reflect individual learning spaces.
Winners will be announced on May 10.
