Osteopaths believe that structure has a significant impact on function, and vice versa.
Osteopaths focus on how the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, gastrointestinal system and circulation function as a holistic unit to promote mobility and improve health.
The team at Sutherland Osteopathy opened their doors in the Shire 10 years ago and have welcomed thousands of patients into their business during that time.
“We want to thank the community for their support over the last 10 years. It’s a local business servicing our local community and we’re grateful for all the support we’ve been shown over the years.”
Kerrin Murnane is the Principal Osteopath who started the business and feels lucky to have gained a team of practitioners who love to work together and are always trying to improve the way they provide treatment for their patients.
“I always had a dream for my own clinic and it just blossomed from there,” she explained. Kerrin believes that if you focus on providing a quality service, everything else will fall into place.
“Sutherland is a good central location and we have been able to create a happy and positive environment here at the clinic.
The team are always interested in developing their treatment techniques and provide ongoing learning to all their colleagues and patients.
They include traditional osteopathic techniques in accordance to evidence based practice and believe patient education is very important.
“We’re always trying to make modifications to the clinic in order to better service our patients.”
The office introduced online bookings to make things more convenient for the patients and incorporate cupping and dry needling where appropriate to ensure their patients get the best and most comprehensive treatments available.
“We just want to make the overall experience better for our patients,” said Dr Murnane (Osteopath).
“It truly gives us a lot of joy to see people living with less pain and more functional capacity.
“We love to hear when clients tell us that they can now walk their dog without pain or pick up their grandchild when they were not able to before.
“We just want people to live their life as well as possible. We do this by giving all clients an individualised approach,” said Dr Murnane.
