A beautiful night for a beautiful girl, was how the community described a special fundraising event.
‘Milan’s Miracle’, held on April 8 at Cronulla Leagues Club, was a huge success.
It was all for Milan Nguyen-Mai, 5, who has medulloblastoma – a common brain tumour.
The Miranda schoolgirl is undergoing treatment at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
The event, hosted by DJ Jazzy, raised more than $20,000 for Milan’s ongoing treatment.
Milan’s mother, Marilee, says the support was amazing.
“It was fantastic – so much love in one room,” she said.
“We had a massive turnout and Milan knew the party was for her.
“She was very excited to wear her swan queen dress.
“It feels good to know that everyone has our back and I’m very grateful. It helps through these time to know we aren’t alone.”
About $80,000 has been raised in eight weeks for the family.
