NSW governor-general David Hurley thanks Como's Ruth Matthews, pictured with her husband David, for donating a painting to Government House on World Parkison's Day.

Como’s Ruth Matthews, who has Parkinson’s disease, was a special guest at Government House this week.

Mrs Matthews was invited to meet NSW governor-general David Hurley on World Parkinson’s Day, yesterday, April 11.

The artist who has been painting her whole life, donated one of her artworks to Government House.
