A 57-year-old man with a suspended license has been arrested and charged after allegedly driving drunk to Kogarah police station.
The man's troubles started around 12.30pm on Monday when he parked his car in the 'Police Vehicle Only' area outside the police station in Montgomery Street, Kogarah.
He'd arrived for the purpose of meeting bail conditions for previous offences.
But police say when the man entered the station, he was "staggering and smelt of alcohol."
He was breathalysed, and returned a positive result, with a subsequent breath analysis allegedly returning a reading of 0.226, more than four times the legal limit.
Police charged the man with high range PCA, driving while suspended and breach of bail.
He was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday, April 17.
The man’s vehicle was removed and the key has been confiscated by police.
