Tyson Condor is only 12-years-old but is already an Australian champion.
The talented young southpaw from Gymea Bay won the men’s under-15s 54-kilogram national title at the under-19s Australian Boxing Championships held in Perth last month.
Tyson, who trains out of Sutherland PCYC under coach Sean Fitzpatrick, won the final in a unanimous decision with the judges scoring the bout 4-0.
Tyson was one of five NSW boxers out of a team of 20 state champions competing at the Australian titles to win a gold medal.
He also represented the NSW junior representative team at the Australian Golden Glove championships – a prestigious tournament held north of the border for almost 500 fighters – in Brisbane in September.
Tyson won the 54-kilogram 0-3 fights division in what was his first ever boxing tournament.
