Now in its 7th year on the Botany Bay shoreline, Sculptures @ Bayside is bigger and better than ever.
As part of the Bayside Arts Festival, the shores of Cook Park, Kyeemagh, have been transformed with an exciting and colourful display from local, national and international artists with this temporary outdoor exhibition.
Kids also had the chance to get creative at the recycled art and sculpture workshop on Tuesday, hearing from local environmental groups and learning to draw shapes before seeing this year’s exhibition.
This year Bayside Council has also introduced a prize of up to $50,000 known as the Sculptures @ Bayside Acquisition Prize and will be awarded by the judges to the most outstanding eligible sculpture submitted.
Prizes are also awarded in the categories of Sydney Airport Sculpture Award, Cooks River Rescue Prize and the 2018 People’s Choice Award.
