Anzac Day 2018 was a special time for the Bundeena RSL sub-Branch as it was the first service, since the 2015 club fire, conducted at the new Community and Services Club and use of its facilities.
Standing in the reserve at 5am looking back at the club, ablaze with lights, was a magical, inspiring sight.
This year the fundraiser, as well as the usual red poppies, there were purple poppies. These purple poppies were in remembrance of all the animals who were involved in the wars. They were very popular.
The RSL sub-Branch raised $2729.35 for the Invictus Games, with $1000 of that being donated by the new Community and Services Club. The balance being donated by the small community of Bundeena and Maianbar and the military personnel who attend our services.
Your donations are appreciated.
